b.a.-ba – that’s the letters B and A of the French alphabet and then together, pronounced as BA.

It’s the beginning of the French alphabet. b-a ba means ‘the basics’, ‘the rudiments of something’, ‘the ABCs of something’.

  • « Ça y est, c’est décidé : j’apprends le français avec Anne à FRENCH HOUR, et je commence par le b.a.-ba. »
