aux frais de la princesse – at the expenses from/of the princess. aux frais de la princesse means ‘for free’ or ‘it’s paid for by the company’, or ‘somebody else is paying for it’.

• « On a pris une chambre au centre de Paris. C’est super, car on ne paie pas, c’est aux frais de la princesse. »
• “We booked a room in the center of Paris. It’s great because we aren’t paying for it, it is paid for (by somebody else, by the firm...).”
