Here are IPFrance programs that will give you an idea of what you can do during your week with Anne. These programs can be customized according to your needs and desires, depending on the season you choose to go.
When you register for an IPFrance program, you’ll have the opportunity to evaluate your French and move on to the next level, all while enjoying a beautiful location in a relaxed and fun-filled environment.
As the program proceeds, you’ll start thinking in French. Then you won’t even notice that you’re speaking in French. Suddenly, you’ll be able to interact naturally with French people.
This is a worry-free program. Anne arranges all of the logistics and takes care of you during your stay. All you have to do is learn French and enjoy yourself.
Walk the Walk and Talk the Talk
Nature Hikes and fitness –This program is designed for people who want to learn to speak French while walking around Thourie, hiking through the French countryside and eating delicious French food: Eat, Walk, Learn!
- Walk every day for at least half the day
- Any level – DELF A/Level 1, DELF B/Level 2 and DELF C/Level 3 – the first person to enroll determines the level of that week’s program
- Maximum 5 students
- 60 hours of French instruction
- A visit on Saturday to Rennes, or another site the group suggests
Premises
- Lodging is at the farm, as are the classes
- Classes and meals take place in the common area
- 3 private rooms and one shared 2-student room. First come, first served

What’s Cooking?
French Cooking and French speaking – In this program, we’ll speak French and cook French-style family meals. Learn Anne’s secret for making delicious mayonnaise. Don’t think twice about whipping up a mousse au chocolat for your guests. Amaze family and friends with a soufflé brunch. This IPFrance is for any level of French speaker who is also a beginner or intermediate cook.

- Leave the program with a complete e-book of recipes

Meeting the Saints
Mont Saint-Michel and Saint-Malo – The “Meeting the Saints” IPFrance includes an overnight trip to Le Mont Saint-Michel and to Saint-Malo, 2 historic, breathtaking cities by the sea. We’ll take in the beautiful view from the top of the abbey of Le Mont Saint-Michel. If your group is up for it – and if the weather allows – we can take a walk on the quicksand surrounding the Mont. I promise to bring everyone home safely! In Saint-Malo, we’ll walk along the ramparts that encircle the “intra-muros” (inside the walls) area of the city.
- 3 days of regular instruction and half-day outings
- 2 days/1 night to visit Saint-Michel and Saint-Malo – 3-star hotel

Out West
Go to the Wild West of Brittany – This IPF features a trip to Rochefort-en-Terre, Pont-Aven, Concarneau, and Quimper.
In Rochefort-en-Terre, we’ll stroll the narrow cobblestone streets of this beautifully preserved medieval town, all while speaking French. In quaint Pont-Aven, we’ll follow the path of the Impressionist painter Paul Gaugin. In Concarneau, we can hike along the seacoast on the “sentiers des douaniers”, or just enjoy the town. We’ll sleep in Quimper, where we can visit a faïencerie and explore the bustling old quarters and shops.

Set Sail in Brittany
Learn French on a boat – Spend 4 days on a mini-cruise navigating Breton canals. Enjoy the gorgeous countryside and learn French, all at the same time.

- Minimum 2 adults (that can include me) willing to help navigate through locks, maximum 4 people
