Les cours en direct à French Hour – Sujets
This page shows you different classes Anne has offered in the past.

French Conversation – Conversation Ciblée
This is your opportunity to speak French about this topic. Take advantage of this class and speak as much as you can.
- French News – What are the French news talking about today? Anne will summarize the news and we’ll all get an opportunity to talk about it, ask questions, and learn a bit of French at the same time.
- ce que vous ferez la semaine prochaine. We’ll focus on the future tense and more.
- ce que vous avez fait la semaine dernière. We’ll focus on past tenses, adverbs and more.
French Grammar – Q&A – Grammaire, Foire Aux Questions
In French Grammar, you will come to class with questions. Anne will answer them – most likely in English for better efficiency – and gives you examples to check if you got it. Then, you’ll get a class follow-up with lots of practice to master the topics studied in class. Practice is the magic word here!
French Pronunciation – La Prononciation en français
Work on individual French sounds that are typically French. Get tips on how to pronounce sounds like R, U, EUIL, and more.
Knitting in French – Tricoter en français
In this really relaxing class, we’ll spend time knitting on our own projects while speaking French and having a fun and informal French class.

French Skit – Jeu de rôle en français
We’ll play together: You’ll order food in a restaurant, I’ll be your waitress. We’ll gather vocabulary and expressions useful when you’re sitting at the Grand Véfour in Paris 🙂
Independence Day – Bastille Day
Tell me about Independence Day. We’ll review appropriate vocabulary and chit chat about Bastille Day as well. Watch the video and take this free quiz!
French Culture – Culture et Civilisation
We’ll talk about the French faux-pas, you need to avoid when you’re in France. The very words ‘faux pas’ and ‘etiquette’ are both French. Does it mean the French master the ‘right etiquette’? I’ll let you be the judge of that :-). In class, we’ll chat about what the French do and don’t do, and we’ll share experiences. I’ll be here to answer all your questions – in French and in English.
French Games – Jeux en français
We’ll play games in French. These games are made to increase your fluency. As you play, your inhibitions fade away and you suddenly find yourself blurring things out in French in a way you would have ever thought you were capable of.

Les 10 Erreurs – Spot the errors
Spot the errors Anne purposely added to this text – or wait for class to figure them out with Anne. Learn from all these mistakes and let’s talk about it in class. Fun!
French Vocabulary – Vocabulaire
How to ask for directions in French. — If riding the French metro is really easy, getting to the station isn’t always a piece of cake. You’d think that by just knowing ‘où est’ – ‘where is’ – you’d be all set to find your way in France. Well, there’s a bit more to it than that.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
First come first serve! – Premier arrivé, premier servi.
Send me a note and tell me what you want to study. Should you decide to have a casual conversation, work on the French subjunctive, or want to role-play your next hotel reservation, I’ll design a class for you that day, and other students will join and learn French with us. In this class, anything goes. Anne can help you with any topic, any level and any question. Be the first to sign up and lead the way!
