    Helen is asking:
For a Frenh project I need to describe places I want to go to. For Santorini, I can’t find any translations or whether it is feminine or masculine. Please respond if you know the answers! Thank you!
    Here is Anne’s answer:
    Yay, super question, Helen.
Santorini/Santorin is feminine in French. In order to avoid a grammatical difficulty, the French say “the island of Santorini” : ‘L’île chic de Santorini est délicieusement différente.’
I hope I answered your question. Note that you can ask your question on the FH Forum, as I’m working more and more on FrenchHour these days.
