What’s Paris Plages? Where is it? When?

Paris devient une station balnéaire en juillet et août. Depuis 2007, Paris Plages – ou Paris Plage – enchante les Parisiens et les visiteurs. La ville de Paris crée des plages artificielles le long de la Seine, au centre-ville et à La Villette, pour le plus grand bonheur des vacanciers. Si vous arrivez tôt, vous pourrez peut-être réserver un transat. Et si vous aimez faire la grasse matinée, vous pourrez toujours trouver un coin de sable sur la plage. Ces plages gratuites offrent toutes sortes de distractions, telles que la pétanque, des jeux, des leçons de sport gratuites et des expositions. Allez-y !

Paris becomes a ‘seaside’ resort in July and August. Since 2007, Paris Plages – or Paris Plage – has been delighting Parisians and visitors alike. The city of Paris creates artificial beaches along the Seine, downtown and in La Villette, for the delight of vacationers. If you get there early, you may reserve a deck chairs. And if you like to sleep in, you can always find a spot on the sandy beach. These free beaches offer all kinds of distractions, such as pétanque bowling games, other types of games, free sport lessons and exhibitions. Go and visit!
