avoir la tablette de chocolat – to have a six-pack – Mot du Jour

avoir la tablette de chocolat – to have the bar of chocolate. avoir la tablette de chocolat in everyday French means ‘to get a set of really nice  abdominal muscles, a six-pack’. Note that we say ‘LA’ to translate ‘A’ in this idiomatic phrase.

  • « Il avait la tablette de chocolat quand il était jeune. Il retourne au gymnase pour la récupérer. Chapeau ! »
