joie de vivre – French expression

Malou 20mai17

joie de vivre — zest for life — Mot du Jour

joie de vivre – joy of to live. Joie de vivre really means ‘love of life’, ‘zest for life’. I sometimes hear the French expression with an English accent: ‘joie de vivre’.

  • « Elle a une véritable joie de vivre. »
    • “She has a real zest for life.”
