être accro de – to be addict to. accro is short for ‘accroché/e’, which means ‘hooked’. In everyday French, être accro de means “to be passionate about [something]” or “to be addicted to [something]”.

  • « Je viens de passer une dizaine de jours sans internet et je me rends bien compte que je suis accro de l’ordi. Je suis complètement perdue sans wifi. »
    • “I have just spent ten days without the internet and I realize that I am addicted. I am completely lost without wifi.”
